QINGDAO, China, September 19, 2025 – The 2025 China International Consumer Electronics Exposition (CICE) kicked off today at the Qingdao International Convention Center (Hongdao Hall). The exhibition has attracted over 300 domestic and international enterprises from 17 countries and regions, with an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, making it the largest edition to date.
The CICE is the only national-level professional exhibition of its kind in Shandong Province. Organized by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and co-hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), the Chinese Institute of Electronics(CIE), and the China Association of Communication Enterprises(CACE), it has been successfully held for 21 sessions. Under the theme "Intelligence Connects All , AI Empowers the Future," this year's CICE focuses on the forefront and future trends of the global consumer electronics industry. It primarily showcases the latest products and cutting-edge technologies in sectors such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, the low-altitude economy, smart mobility, smart homes, digital consumption, and international brand consumer electronics. Concurrently, featuring new product launches and debut showcases, and integrating exhibitions with trade, the CICE has arranged 27 supporting events including industry summits, economic and trade matchmaking sessions, and new product releases, aiming to create a comprehensive, high-value industry exchange platform.
Consumer electronics are a vital component of household consumption and a significant industry for the national economy. Recently, the State Council's "Opinions on Deepening the Implementation of the 'AI+' Action" proposed a key initiative for "AI + Consumption Upgrade." The integration of artificial intelligence with the consumer sector is activating new consumption dynamics through personalized experiences and innovative scenarios.
As a renowned home appliance hub, Qingdao produces approximately 9.6% of China's total output of smart home appliances, meaning one out of every ten home appliances is made in Qingdao. This year's CICE features six exhibition zones: "Smart Living," "Global Intelligence Leadership," "Intelligent Connectivity & Integration," "Wisdom of the Future," "Intelligent Sound & Core," and "Boundless Intelligence Convergence." Highlights include Haier's spotlight on "Haiwa," the world's first robot capable of using home appliances and doing household chores autonomously, which can mop, cook, iron clothes, and interconnect all smart home devices. Casarte's kitchen appliances feature an "AI Eye" that accurately automatically identifies ingredients and provides smart storage solutions, redefining the smart kitchen experience.
Hisense nationally launched its 116-inch RGB-MiniLED TV, the UX, equipped with its self-developed Xinqxin AI Picture Quality Chip, enabling precise and intelligent control over light and color. This product won three awards, including the "Global Display Technology Innovation Gold Award," at this year's IFA in Berlin.
Aucma, positioning itself as a "Temperature Technology Expert," exhibited the industry's first -40°C deep freezer refrigerator. Integrated with the Wise Life APP, it utilizes temperature and humidity control alongside AI preservation technology to create seasonal storage spaces for all year round, offering a multi-dimensional solution for keeping food fresh.
Regarding new product launches and debuts, 57 companies including Huawei, Gree, ASUS, and Dreame brought heavyweight products: DPVR's consumer-grade AI glasses, health monitoring devices like the smart health mirror from Canada's Nuros, the top-tier mobile phone designed and manufactured by UK's XOR, will all be presented. Japan's DENBA Corporation will also host a new product launch event for its sleep-aid product series (DENBA Health) at the CICE. Furthermore, Hangzhou's "Six Little Dragons" – Unitree Robotics and BrainCo – exhibited cutting-edge tech products like embodied intelligent robots, quadrupedal robot dogs, and intelligent bionic hands. Leju showcased robots for various scenarios including explanation and shopping guidance, industrial sorting, and life entertainment, demonstrating future industry prospects through technical demonstrations.
Notably, this CICE has established for the first time a nearly 10,000-square-meter international zone, featuring 59 international enterprises from 17 countries and regions, accounting for over one-sixth of total exhibitors. It includes returning participants like Hexagon, Toshiba, and Sony, as well as first-time exhibitors like XOR, Hans Sasserath, Yufan Medical, and Konica Minolta, indicating the CICE's growing appeal to international brands. Simultaneously, buyers from 15 countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, and Mexico have been invited to negotiate cooperation with exhibitors, building a precise matchmaking bridge for Chinese and foreign companies.
The CICE will run until September 21. Concurrent events include the China Civil Aviation Science Popularization Innovation Competition and the King of Glory National Championship. A high-quality Qingdao Audio and Record Exhibition will also be held, showcasing the unique charm of the blend between technology and art. These activities provide a multi-dimensional resource exchange platform for attending domestic and overseas enterprises and allow visitors to immerse themselves in the latest achievements of artificial intelligence. As the market-oriented operator of the CICE, Qingdao Guoxin Group will adhere to a professional exhibition model, focus on industrial synergy and empowerment, and continuously enhance the platform value and influence of the CICE.
